GAYLYNN ROBINSON NOMINATED FOR TOP TEXAS MUSIC AWARD
AUSTIN, TEXAS — Gaylynn Robinson, a Central Texas area singer/songwriter, is one of five artists nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music for her 2008 release of the album Love & Heartache. The winner will be announced at the 7th annual Texas Music Awards ceremony on April 26, 2009 at the Palestine Civic Center in Palestine, Texas.
The public is invited to participate in the voting process from February 2 through February 20 at www.TexasMusicAwards.org. The public voting component will account for ten percent of the final vote. The remainder of the vote is determined by the Academy board and members.
The event is open to the public. The red carpet starts at noon. The awards show begins at 2:00 pm.
Love & Heartache features 10 original songs by Gaylynn offered up in a variety pack of country, rock, boogie and swing. The 2008 release has been well received nationally and internationally and has garnered widespread critical acclaim.
